🔧 CRASH Lego Engineering Club
$60.00
12/18/2025 – 01/17/2026
1 Month

Join the CRASH Lego Engineering Club and explore the world of robotics, coding, and creative problem-solving through hands-on challenges using LEGO SPIKE Prime/LEGO Mindstorm EV3 and FIRST LEGO League (FLL) mission maps.

This weekly club gives students the opportunity to build, program, and test robots designed to complete real-world STEM challenges. Using the same tools and formats as international FLL competitions, students will learn the fundamentals of mechanical design, teamwork, and computational thinking.

Each session blends instruction and open-ended exploration. Students will spend the first part of each meeting learning to code sensors, motors, and build techniques using guided missions. The second half of each session offers "free play" time on the FLL game field, where students can experiment, iterate, and test their ideas in a fun, self-directed environment.

🧱 What’s Included:

  • Access to LEGO SPIKE Prime and LEGO Mindstom EV3 kits (one per student or team)

  • Use of official FLL game boards and mission models

  • Weekly guided lessons with experienced instructors

  • Team-based collaboration and creative design challenges

  • All materials and tools provided

🕒 Club Schedule:

  • Meets once a week for 2 hours

    • 45 minutes guided instruction

    • 60 minutes mission/free build time

    • 15 minutes clean-up and reflection

👥 Who Should Join:

This club is perfect for students ages 9–14, whether they're new to robotics or building on previous experience. No prior coding or FLL knowledge is required—just a love of LEGO and a curiosity for engineering.

🎯 Learning Outcomes:

  • Robot design and structural engineering

  • Basic to intermediate coding skills

  • Sensor integration and logical problem-solving

  • Teamwork, creativity, and project planning

By the end of each cycle, students will not only improve their technical skills—they’ll also build confidence, communication, and the ability to think like young engineers.

💡 Why CRASH?

Crestview Robotics and STEM Hub (CRASH) is a nonprofit focused on providing real STEM experiences to local youth. We use industry-relevant tools and project-based learning to give students the edge they need for future tech careers. This club is more than just robotics—it’s the start of something bigger.
